Wilfred Ngwa, Ph.D.

Wil Ngwa joined ARPA-H in July 2024 from Johns Hopkins Medicine. He was the founding director of the Global Health Catalyst, and co-founder of the Global Oncology University. His award-winning career as a professor in global health and oncology has focused on low-cost technologies, smart radiotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, and eliminating global health disparities. Ngwa has served as chair and on the editorial board of multiple scientific journals, and as advisor for the White House Cancer Moonshot.
He completed his doctoral work in physics at the University of Leipzig in Germany and postdoctoral and clinical training in radiation oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School, blending expertise in medical physics, nanomedicine, and global health.
