Dr. Haider Warraich joined ARPA-H as a Program Manager in December 2024. He is a clinician with expertise in cardiology, heart failure, and transplantation. Most recently, he served at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a Senior Clinical Advisor for Chronic Disease to the FDA Commissioner where he helped shape policy around drugs, devices, nutrition, digital health and artificial intelligence.
Previously, Warraich was a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Director of the Heart Failure Program, at the Veterans Affairs Health System in Boston. He received his medical degree from Aga Khan University, completed residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and fellowships at Duke University Medical Center. He is also the author of over 175 peer reviewed papers and several books.
