RACE: Rapid and Reliable Autologous Cell Screening and Expansion for Organoid Therapy and Bioartificial Kidney Construction
This project develops a strategy for screening and expansion of functional renal progenitor cells using the Rapid, Reproducible, Rare Cell 3D Expansion Platform (R3CE) to enable organoid therapies for chronic kidney disease. Key milestones include the collection of viable kidney tissue samples, establishment of a mass production process for renal organoids, and the characterization and evaluation of organoid therapy in animal models.
