GROUNDTRUTH: Mechanism

This project aims to understand how accelerated brain stimulation affects brain activity in people receiving treatment targeting the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, a brain region linked to mood and behavior. By adding multimodal data collection to two existing study groups, the team will develop noninvasive measures to track treatment response, better understand how the therapy works, and help predict who is most likely to improve, how long benefits may last, and who may be at higher risk of relapse. Data collected under this award will be deidentified and housed in the ARPA-H EVIDENT Data Repository.
