A double blind, randomized trial investigating the safety, feasibility, and mechanisms of psychedelics in healthy older adults with low well-being as moderated by biomarkers for preclinical Alzheimer’s disease
This project will add biological, psychological, and social data collection to an ongoing clinical trial comparing psilocybin and dextromethorphan in older adults with low well-being. The aim is to understand short- and long-term changes in brain activity. Data and biological samples collected under this award will be deidentified and housed in the ARPA-H EVIDENT Data and Biorepositories.
