Breaking Physical Limits in Stroke Intervention: Autonomous Magnetic Soft-Continuum Robots

Magnendo will develop an autonomous endovascular robot that uses a robotically maneuvered magnet to direct a novel guidewire engineered to be both magnetically steerable and soft against delicate vessel walls. The system will be used to perform neurointerventional procedures such as mechanical thrombectomy. Preoperative scans are fused with real-time imaging to continuously triangulate the robot's position and orientation, which will be used by the robot's autonomous navigation.
