MOPH: Multi-Omics capabilities for Proactive Health
The past decade has brought significant advances in multi-omics, the processing of large datasets of biological molecules like DNA, proteins, and lipids. Combined with the computing power of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) and analyzed alongside robust electronic health record (EHR) data, multi-omics has immense potential to unlock valuable insights about human health for populations and individuals. However, missing data, differing levels of analytical sensitivity, and other challenges have slowed progress. The Multi-Omics capabilities for Proactive Health (MOPH) project aims to develop and apply novel approaches to create an integrated multi-omics data platform that surmounts challenges with data sensitivity and missingness of proteomic data and creates shared data platforms to enable the application of powerful and advanced AI/ML tools for causal assessment of biological and environmental health determinants.
