qSENSE: quantum Spatial Encoding for Non-Invasive Structural Examination
The project aims to establish a quantum magnetic induction tomography (qMIT) platform for contactless bio-imaging, combining quantum sensing with advanced computational imaging for portable and non-ionizing tissue conductivity mapping. It involves developing an integrated nitrogen-vacancy-center quantum magnetometer with photonic structures and advanced reconstruction methodologies to achieve high-resolution images in settings where MRI or CT are impractical. The effort addresses unmet clinical needs for safer, portable diagnostic imaging and seeks to validate the feasibility of the qMIT approach toward future prototype systems.
